Color and Ears Ranch where Color meets performance
Color and Ears Ranch is located in the beautiful equestrian town of Apple Valley. Color and Ears Ranch is dedicated to raising performance paint horses that can hold their own in halter too. We feature a registered American Paint Horse Stallion Smokey Illusion and we also have two registered Paint Horse Brood Mares Rowena Hancock and Daddy Cant Sing which produce beautiful offspring which are for sale. We have a two year old paint horse named Shy Painted Moon. Shy is built for performance, have outstanding athletic ability and are very quick learners. Our horses are built for performance but also do very well in halter classes. Smokey Illusion has won over 2,000.00 in prizes both halter Western Performance and English Pleasure. Smokey has a baby Smokeys Melody who is now a yearling and will be competing in Paint shows. We raised a champion loungeline paint horse named Lily Cat Hancock who will now be showing in Colorado. Lily has a new owner Mercedes Harris. We have a new paint horse named Smokeys Melody who is out of our solid paint Daddy Cant Sing and our paint Stallion Smokey Illusion.

On 17 Feb 2008 at the Saddle and Harness Association Smokey won 1st place in the Light Horse Halter class, 1st place in Halter Color, 1st place in Western Pleasure, 2nd in Western country Pleasure, 2nd in Western Equitation and Grand Champion Halter horse
On 16 June 2007 at Trailseekers of Moreno Valley CSHA Region XI, Smokey placed 1st in Trail and 1st in Western Pleasure
On 18 July 2007 Smokey Illusion placed 1st in the color class at I triple E, in Norco, CA
At Yucaipa Pinto Horse Show Smokey placed 1st in Western Horsemanship

On 4 August 2007 Smokey got the following at Hesperia 1st in Stallions, 4th in Paint Pinto, 1st in English pleasure, 1st and 2nd in English Country Pleasure, 1st and 2nd in Obedience, 1st and 2nd in Western Equitation
On 9 September 2007 at Mojave River Horsemans Association in Apple Valley Smokey scored 1st place in the Stallion Class and 1st in Performance Halter. Smokey also placed first in his english riding classes
At HIDHA Smokey won Reserve Champion Open Halter 2007
At Hesperia year end Smokey won Champion Stallion, Reserve Champion Paint Pinto Appy and Reserve Champion 18 and over Western Pleasure

Smokeys Melody has 18 PAC Credits in halter, 15 Color Credits and 1 Performance credit in Yearling Loungeline, 1 APHA point in Color and 11 Pinto Points.

At Melody's first show in 2008 she placed 1st in the Open Color class and She placed 1st in the Tobiano Color Class.
Smokeys Melody placed 1st and 2nd at Bakersfield Paint Horse Show in the Color class.
Smokeys Melody places 1st in Color at GSPA and 1st in Performance halter on the 6th of April. Smokey Illusion placed 1st in the Stallions, 1st in Paint/Pinto and 3rd in color.
